However, to prevent the worst-case scenario, you must make it a habit to clean your home. Vacuum it regularly and watch out for early signs of bed bugs. Also, remember that bed bugs do not only live in beds. It could be in other places such as your couch or even clothes. If you believe that your clothes and other items are infested, seal it in a bag.

For items that need to be disposed of, do so properly. Do not just leave it outside of your homes because other people might use it too. And that will just pass the problem to another household. For example, if you are to dispose of your couch, place a sign that says ‘bed bugs’ so people will not attempt to reuse it.
